Sharath M. Gayakwad India’s Para-swimmer has qualified for the Asian Games in all 7 events in the Berlin Championships and has also won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals in the highly competitive Championship.

Sharath M Gayakwad is the first Indian Para-Swimmer to participate at the 2012 London Paralympic Games, finishing 9th at the games and is also officially the best performer in the history of Indian Swimming for a Paralympic. He is also credited with being the Asian Record Holder in the 50m Breaststroke and the 50m butterfly events for 3 years (2010-13) in a row.

Sharath Gayakwad was recently sponsored by Infinite to participate in the Berlin Swimming Championship which is a springboard for his participation in other competitive championships, including the upcoming Commonwealth Games and Asian Para Games in 2014 and more importantly the 2016 Para Olympics. Sharath had an opportunity here to compete against some of the world’s best swimmers in Berlin in his bid to break many more records in the upcoming International fixtures.
