Enterprise messaging and mobility company Infinite Convergence Solutions announced Monday that its NetSfere secure mobile messaging service is now available on Apple Watch and Windows Phone.
NetSfere is a secure, cloud-based enterprise messaging service for enterprises that allows employees to send encrypted instant messages to each other or to groups.
IT administrators can monitor user and device activity, as well as hold remote wipe capabilities if the device gets in the wrong hands. The information that passes from device to device is encrypted to ensure no critical data leaks.
Previously, NetSfere's services were available only on iOS and Android, but now they're branching out to support Windows Phone and, most intriguingly, Apple Watch. Users can now read and respond to private, encrypted messages on their Apple Watches through typing or voice dictation.
The company chose to add the wearable device to its service availability due to customer and market demand, Infinite Convergence CEO Anurag Lal told FierceMobileIT via email.
"We developed our app for Apple Watch because a lot of the verticals that we focus toward are professional verticals, like healthcare and finance, and we saw a direct request for support of Apple Watch from those sectors," Lal said. NetSfere plans to expand its service to other devices, including wearables, as demand increases.
