A unique initiative by the employees to raise funds for the underprivileged children of Sparsha
‘iVerve’ the Employees’ club of Infinite Computer Solutions, a global service provider, will be hosting the first ever ‘Infinite Golf Challenge’ to be held at the lush green Eagleton Golf resorts in Bangalore, with the objective of raising funds for Sparsha, an NGO that works towards keeping children off the streets. The Infinite Golf Challenge is an annual fundraising event, designed to be a fun day of golf for a cause, conceptualized by employees of Infinite. Many leading corporates have come forward to support the event, which include Microsoft and iYogi who are the platinum sponsors; Futurisk, Monster and Sonata who are the associate sponsors and 22 by 7, Callaway Golf, ColorPlus, Kingfisher and The Serai who are the supporting sponsors for the event.

This unique employee driven initiative has enlisted the support of various prominent corporates who have willingly come forward to actively contribute to the social cause. The noteworthy aspect of this event is the transparency maintained in transferring all funds generated from the efforts of the employees directly to the NGO. A new account has been created for the fund transfer that is solely for the Infinite Golf Challenge event.
The 5000+ employees at Infinite actively manage activities aimed at social causes through the Employees’ Club- iVerve. iVerve is actively involved in driving the Infinite Golf Challenge by engaging employees to contribute both their time and expertise. Note: the entire tournament is planned and implemented by individual employees of Infinite without the help of any external agency, in a bid to minimise costs and increase the collection for the NGO.
The tournament format is designed to be exciting for each player and will include attractive prizes and fun –on- course activities. The Infinite Golf Challenge will be played both as a team of two and individual level and will be across two handicap categories, including Net and Gross point systems to ascertain winners of the tournament.
The tournament would witness 100+ passionate golfers who will come together to prove their golfing prowess and compete with one other to win the many attractive prizes which are on the offing. The prizes include 8 players winning a golf holiday to Kashmir, 8 players winning a weekend holiday at The Serai and 8 players winning an exclusive dinner for 2 in Bangalore. The registration is through contribution to Sparsha at INR 5,000/- per participant.
Speaking at the occasion Upinder Zutshi, Managing Director and CEO of Infinite said, “We are excited to organise a world- class golf tournament for the growing number of golf enthusiasts in our country while supporting a noble cause. The passion of the Infinite employees to conceptualise something of this scale and to create awareness for a worthy social cause is something we are all very proud of.”
Spokesperson Gopinath from Sparsha said,” We are delighted that companies like Infinite from the corporate sector are coming forward to support social causes like ours and giving the needed impetus and encouragement for us to function and reach the millions of needy people in our country."
“iYogi’s Good Karma Foundation philosophy wholeheartedly supports the education, development and social integration of children. Naturally, we are delighted to be participating in causes that drive and impact social change and empowerment,” commented, Uday Challu, CEO, iYogi.
Sparsha was established with the prime objective of proclaiming, protecting and defending Children’s rights as affirmed in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989). Like in many other countries, in India the rights of children are still generally low on agendas.
The objective of Sparsha is to design organizational initiatives and establish safe platform for needy and vulnerable children, i.e. drop outs, street children and working children who are economically and socially challenged to provide basic services and integrate them into the main-stream of society. Providing shelter homes for children who are in need of care and protection, re-admitting children who are out of schools, establishing alternative family care for children without parental care are some of the major activities of our organization.
